How Do I Care for My Invisalign® Aligners?
Caring for your aligners is simple. To maintain your excellent oral health, you must continue to brush your teeth twice a day and floss often. After you finish cleaning your teeth, use a toothbrush and warm water to brush away any remaining food particles or harmful bacteria that are clinging to your aligners. You wouldn’t want to put a dirty aligner on your freshly cleaned teeth, and this helps your mouth stay healthy and your aligners stay fresh and clear so they don’t become discolored.
What Is the Treatment Process?
Every treatment process at Romani Orthodontics begins with a complimentary first visit where we will conduct a comprehensive evaluation and assess what areas of your oral health need attention. We will then discuss your goals for Invisalign® and how you would like your smile to look at the end of treatment.
After this discussion, we will take a 3D image of your mouth to understand your needs better and create a set of aligners that perfectly fit your teeth. This image will be used as the basis for your treatment plan, and we can make digital adjustments to show you how your smile will look once you’ve finished Invisalign®. If you approve the final result you’re shown, we will have your first set of clear aligners printed, and you will be on your way to a better smile.
How Much Does Invisalign® Cost?
The price of Invisalign® varies depending on the length of your treatment and the extent of your orthodontic issues. The more attention your mouth and jaw need, the more sets of Invisalign® you will receive to correct these problems. While getting Invisalign® treatment is an investment into a higher quality of life, we understand that it takes financial planning to budget this transformative appliance. How Long Do I Have to Wear My Aligners for Each Day?
We suggest that you wear your Invisalign® aligners for at least 20 to 22 hours a day for the best results. As long as you wear your aligners consistently, they will apply pressure to your teeth to move things into place for your perfect smile. If you leave your aligners out for too long, your progress may reverse, and it will take you longer to complete treatment.
Are There Any Food Restrictions with Invisalign®?
One of the greatest benefits of Invisalign® is that you can remove your aligners at any time to eat your favorite foods. Unlike other treatments, you don’t have to worry about hard or sticky foods damaging your appliance. You have the freedom to fit Invisalign® into your lifestyle instead of changing your life around the treatment. While you can eat whatever you like, you must remember to keep your aligners clean and put them back in whenever you’re finished.
